The only technology for both Mac and PC!

Liberty Mouse Mover™ is the only product on the market that works independently of your work issued computer. Unless your boss is coming over to inspect your workstation, it’s undetectable. Just plug the Mouse Mover into a wall outlet, place the mouse on the platform, and enjoy the liberty of working your way.

 Installed Software

There is a software solution for the PC.  Once you install it and activate it, it will trick you computer into thinking that the mouse occasionally moves by a few pixels left and right.  It accomplishes the same thing - preventing your mouse  from appearing to be INACTIVE.  A software solution, however, has the following issues:

Potential Issues

  • You need to remember to turn it on when you leave your computer.  While this seems like a no-brainer, in reality, when you need to step out of the office it is common to forget to turn on the software.  There are various menu's and hot-keys that can be used to turn on the software, but it's easy to forget.  A far more convenient step is to simply place your mouse on the Liberty Mouse Mover whenever you leave your desk.
  • If you are working on a company issued computer, you may not have permission to install software.  Most companies forbid their employees from installing software on company computers, as it can be a huge security problem.  There really is no good way to know whether this software is legitimate or whether it can compromise your system security.  If the IT department finds out that you have installed new software, it could lead to all kinds of trouble.

 Memory Stick Software

To overcome the software installation restrictions on company-issued computers, the mouse mover software can be made available on a USB stick.  Once you plug in the stick, it automatically runs the software and does essentially the same thing as the pre-installed software -  trick you computer into thinking that the mouse occasionally moves.  Like the software solution, this also has the following issues:

Potential Issues

  • You need to remember to plug the memory stick in the computer whenever you leave your desk.  While this seems like a no-brainer, in reality, when you need to step out of the office it is common to forget to do that.  There is also the time lag for the software to be activated - you often need to wait to make sure that it is running before you know that you can leave your desk safely.    Then, when you come back, you need to unplug the USB stick.  Depending on what version of Windows you are running, you may need to click on "Eject Drive", and other annoying windows may pop up.  A far more convenient step is to simply place your mouse on the Liberty Mouse Mover whenever you leave your desk, and then grab it when you come back.
